I really hope I'm the first to come up with this idea. So today I randomly started thinking about Wulf and thought, he's supposed to be a werewolf right? Meaning he once had a human side so what would happen if Danny got bitten by him or another werewolf and his ghost form mutated into one? And that's how I came up with this drawing with the added bonus of an ice claw attack to be a bit more original with how Danny would fight in this form. Now before you ask, this is Danny, NOT Wulf.

Eli, Eli, Eli. What is there to say about him? Well, obviously she loves him. I think that much is painfully obvious. With Eli, there has always been such a whirlwind of emotions. She started out being really attracted to him ‘cause dude is hot af, but she was not so here for his personality. After a while, she started to learn that there was a lot more to him than he let on and so she started crushing on him mad hard. Elsa doesn’t really know when she fell in love with him but it was sometime between him scoffing at the mess she made and them sleeping together but it took her a really long time to figure that out. Overall, she adores him. To her, he is her rock. There is no one she would rather raise a family with. He’s such an amazing father and she’s convinced he’s the heart and soul of their family. She just really, really, really loves him. He’s her Eli.

Agelast: A person who never laughs.

One of the first things she noticed about Eli was that he never laughed. 

He’s a grouch. And an asshole. But he never, ever laughs. 

At least not that she can hear. She’s sure he’s capable of it. She’s never known anyone to not have the ability to laugh. Elsa spends more time thinking about that than she should. 

She notices things about him without meaning to, really. Like that he orders strawberry milkshakes and never chocolate. When he comes in after work, there’s always a little grease left on his fingers that he just couldn’t get off. His teeth are the slightest bit crooked but it’s annoyingly cute. She doesn’t realize she’s noticing these things, but it’s like she’s got Eli-dar and she just knows when he’s there. 

She notices when he smiles, though it’s never a big smile, but that he never laughs.The most she’s ever seen is an amused smirk. It’s more judging than amused, she thinks. At times, all she wants to do is shove a piece of pie in his face but she’s been told by her manager that that’s not good customer service so she forces herself to behave. 

He has this effect on her that no one else ever has. It’s like she loses her control around him. She’s braver, in a way. She doesn’t have to be Little Miss Perfect because he expects that of her and she loves to prove him wrong. 

It isn’t until later that she hears it. His laugh is kind of gruff, like he is, so it’s not surprising at all. What is surprising is the way his face changes. His eyes crinkle and she swears it’s like he’s a different person. There’s a new light to his eyes that wasn’t there before. She doesn’t even know why he’s laughing, but for a second, and she’ll deny it if you ask her, she wishes it was something she did. 

Elsa feels drawn to the sound of his laugh. She wants to hear it again and again. When she realizes she’s staring, she turns on her heel, looking for something to distract herself. 

The sound of his laugh made one thing incredibly clear. He was going to be trouble for her. Big trouble. 

But god, she loved his laugh.

Dear Eli, 

I fell in love with you in pieces. Did you know that? It was like I was a puzzle, and slowly but surely you were putting me together without even realizing it. I would hand you a piece of me, you would find a place for it, and in no time at all, you had finished. 

The first piece, I gave to you when I was tipsy and felt brave for the first time in a long time. I gave you my trust. From the first kiss, I trusted you. I may not have realized it at the time, and definitely not in the awkward aftermath, but I was handing you the most important piece to break down my walls and give you my heart. 

The second piece came a few weeks later. Terrible things happened, and you were my immediate thought. Somewhere between stories, I had come to associate you with my knight in shining armor (though if we’re being honest, the armor wasn’t all that shiny and the knight could be a right pain in the ass who was far too good looking to be fair). I called your name and you saved me. You took me home and brought me to a doctor and told me your middle name. And then I told you mine. In doing so, I gave you the second piece (I like to imagine it’s a corner piece). I gave you my faith. In that moment, I knew that no matter what, I could believe in you to be there, even if you didn’t want to be.

The third piece came later still (we were one of those slow builds that caught fire). I lived in fear after what had happened. You changed my locks and held my hand and watched terrible lifetime movies with me. You bought me a milkshake and I bought us a pizza and never once did you make me feel like some kind of victim or like I was damaged. You just sat there on the couch and held my hand and gave me something; your unwavering support. In return, I gave you another piece of me. Each moment that followed where you held my hand, I gave you another. Slowly the picture started coming together. 

I gave you a piece of me in the crowded aisles of the grocery store one sunny afternoon. We went shopping for the picnic essentials and you told me to go get peanut butter. Do you remember? I came back with my favorite kind and I swear, you looked like I had just kicked a puppy in front of you. I can only imagine that right now you’re making a face or even saying that chunky is better, and I will never agree to that, but I can always agree to a compromise. So we may buy two different types of peanut butter, but the silly compromises taught us how to make the big ones. 

When you came over one day and I gave you a key to my home, I gave you a very big piece of me, the one that goes right in the middle. It was a combination of trust and respect. I trusted you with my safety and my home, something I hadn’t really done with anyone before. More importantly, I trusted you with my sister. In the time leading up to this, I had come to realize that you had already won over the only person in my family who truly mattered before I had even stopped to think about it. (If anyone adores you more than me, it’s probably Anna.) 

This letter wouldn’t be complete without the most important piece, I suppose. There was a time (a very dark time, really) where we weren’t together. I know you remember as well as I those hellish weeks where nothing made sense. You tried to drown your pain in alcohol and I tried to hide mine in someone else’s arms. At the time, I thought it was the worst thing we’d ever go through, but now, I look back and I’m grateful. If it hadn’t happened, that silly fight that almost destroyed us, then we wouldn’t have had the chance to come back together. I wouldn’t have been able to give you the most important piece of me; my love. I know it’s so cheesy and not like us, but who are we to deny the truth here? That day was our new beginning, when we acknowledged that this was deeper than just some passing fling. Silly as it seems, but I would have married you then if you’d asked. 

I bet you’re starting to see a pattern here, right? I won’t tell the tale of each piece of me I gave to you. You were there, I’m sure you remember them just as well (if not better). It just struck me tonight that I have never given as much of me to someone else before. Each thing you’ve done, each small gesture of kindness or friendship or more has been rewarded with a part of my heart I honestly thought I’d never give away. I fell so deeply and madly in love with you and I didn’t even realize it was happening. I gave you every part of me, every piece of my heart, and trusted that you would never break it. 

Sometimes, I fail to forget that you did the same. You gave me your trust. You gave me your respect and your laughter and your loyalty. You gave me your love and all the pieces to your heart, too. You really weren’t just taking my pieces, we were trading. Each of us putting together one half of the puzzle that could be our life together. 

In a few hours, I’ll be walking down a much less crowded aisle in a pretty white dress with the sole intention of making you speechless. I’ll probably be teary-eyed and smiling. I’ll be worried about not tripping over my feet before I safely make it to your outstretched hand and we swear to love each other for the rest of our lives. Instead of sleeping, I’m writing you this. A letter full of snapshots from our love story. One that I wanted to end with a very special note. 

Thank you. Thank you for collecting all the pieces of me with such care. Thank you for having all the power to break my heart and choosing instead to love me. Thank you for seeing me at my best and worst and loving me the same each time. Thank you for being you. Wonderful, glorious you. You’ve helped me become one half of a rather beautiful puzzle and I can’t wait for us to start piecing together the next one. 

So, I’ll see you soon, Eli. I’ll be the one in white looking deliriously happy when I marry you in front of all of our friends and family.
