People cancelling Karl Jacobs basically for knowing that Ice Poseidon exists is giving the same energy as people trying to cancel Joji after finding out he was Filthy Frank.
Like it's fucking stupid, of course a streamer who's been around twitch for a while would fucking know of, or at least have heard of Ice Poseidon. Ice Poseidon was LITERALLY one of Twitch's biggest streamers 5 years ago or less.
The people making such a big deal out of this most definitely didn't even use twitch until more recent years.
I've been on Twitch since it was still Justin tv, there have been many horrible things happen on the platform and many horrible people to get popular on the platform, this isn't big, new news.
Karl should not have to apologize for this. Take your performative activism elsewhere.
Imagine saying "I am sorry to all the people of color, especially content creator of color, who was affected by ***'s racist remarks and vulgar raids. I do not support him anymore." Then get a bunch of white people who doesn't even know who this *** is and has never known the shit he did saying "It's okay, I forgive you 🥰"
Or saying "I am sorry to the trans community who has been hurt and are still hurt by the transphobic jokes that **** has made. I truly do not condone transphobia, and I fully support the LGBTQ+ community. I acknowledge my mistakes and hope that you all know you are valid." Then get a bunch of straight, cis people saying "u did nothing wrong, u r forgiven"
Yeah, he did nothing wrong in the matter. He can be friends with people who has done wrong things in the past. They might just be more educated on the subject, they can be more mature, who knows because people are supposed to learn from their mistakes. BUT maybe....dont say you forgive him if u are not the one he is apologizing to. People have their own voice.

Reasons you should no longer support Chris Hansen:
He promoted Pablo Escobar’s brother’s SCAM.
He doesn’t do any research, he doesn’t answer anyone’s questions because he legitimately does not know. He gets all of his information from his interviews. Him asking all of those questions is not him trying to drive the interview, it’s because he actually just does not know.
He dropped the Onision case as soon as it went cold, as soon as he fucked it up, as soon as not as many people cared anymore.
He kept Vince on his staff after he mishandled evidence from Sarah and ruined her case. He only fired him after people got on his ass about it.
He said that sex work and porn online is all bad because a child could see it but then promoted someone’s pornographic onlyfans because they paid him.
None of the money he makes from his live-streams will ever go to any victims because according to him that would be an ethical dilemma, but YOU can’t make money from YOUR videos talking about Onision or Dhavie or any heavy situation.
