I am actually so glad all this twitch/streamer drama is happening because i’ve had quite a lot to say for a while. (if you don’t want to read all this just scroll to the last 3 paragraphs)
I started watching qtcinderella about 3/4 years ago. Around the same time i also started watching Hasan, Valkyrae, Willneff, Caroline Kwan and probably a couple others. Now my timeline is going to be all over the place because i can’t remember when things took place.
The first thing that put me off was the fact that they were friends with Poki. I had heard some bad things about Poki like that she had said racist things but after awhile i never actually found any proof so i just moved on.
The next thing that got me to stop watching qt for awhile was when she started to be friends with faze. i’ve hated faze for a long time now and my opinion on them hasn’t changed. but nobody ever called anyone out for being friends with them so i thought i was just be dramatic or misinformed so i went back to watching her.
Another thing i thought i was being too sensitive for was Hassan’s reaction to Blake Lively v Justin Baldwin. Don’t get me wrong i hate blake and ryan but i was on blake’s side because i would rather trust a lying woman over a predatory man. this made me stop watching hasan but i still watched fear &.
Another situation was mizkif. i’ve hated him for awhile now and he’s made so many jokes i thought were weird. he was very rude to maya higa on stream when they were dating but everyone just brushed it off as clip farming. now obviously with the emiru situation i have been validated.
about a year ago i started watching the yard (ludwig’s podcast). And a couple months after i found out about Atrioc who was exposed for looking at AI porn of his friends including qt and maya. a couple months into listening to the yard they mentioned atrioc and that they were friends with him again and several people posted videos of them playing a game atrioc made. this was my last straw for this whole friend group. i stopped watching them all together for months. but they kept collabing with ppl i like and thought were good people like Jarvis Johnson. So i started watching qt again because i thought if these other youtubers were still friends with them they weren’t so bad.
obviously i fell back into qt because of vanilla and katie. but stopped again after the hasan shock collar drama. all of this to say this group is very good at covering up and moving on from scandals and controversy. which probably why so many good people continue to collab with them.
now what i will say about this current scandal is that it is totally okay to still love your family even if they are homophobic/racist etc. you don’t chose your family but you do chose your friends. there is literally no reason to be friends with bad people. you are actively choosing to keep them in your life which communicates to them that those beliefs are okay to have. and it is so weird to say these things on stream too. especially in front of someone apart of the community. genuinely this whole twitch group is toxic you need to stop watching all of them.
also as a swiftie qt is not one of us. she doesn’t even really like taylor. when ttpd came out qt clowned on it and said she hated it and she did the same with showgirl.
