"Of course you don't need my permission little one," Skala said, smoothing out the other's hair softly. There weren't many Viera's around Ishgard, so when Skala had seen the small blonde Viera he made himself known to the other and made a point to look out for the little one.
"But when I tell you a bar like this is no place for a little one at this time of night, I mean it, so," A hand clamped on the back of the other's neck. "Let's find you somewhere else for you to entertain yourself for the night,"
Marion had to resist jumping ten foot in the air when he first saw Skala. Even knowing it wouldn’t be a problem any more, he still had remnants of that fear that he’d get dragged back home by his tribe and punished for running away. But he’d quickly learned that the older Viera just wanted to help him, and keep an eye out for him. The sudden loss of the Scions and limited time with Cid meant Marion leant into it fairly quickly. It was nice, having someone to talk to besides Haurchefant and Alphinaud.
Still, Skala could get annoying sometimes. Mostly when he treated Marion like a child. He wasn’t that little! He huffed at the words and tried to shrug away. It didn’t work of course, Skala was strong.
“I’ve been here before! and I was just going to turn in a hunt,” He whined. “and anyway, doesn’t beating the Black Wolf earn me a little credit for handling a bar?”
Also drinking wine, which he did not add. He’d had it a couple times before people found out his age, and never again since. It was annoying, handling all of the death defying feats he did and still only being allowed juice at the celebrations.
