Did you see last night’s moon dog? I’ve seen sun dogs, but wasn’t aware that moon dogs were even possible because the phenomenon involves light refracting through ice particles in cirrus clouds. But apparently if the conditions are *just* right and the moon is extremely bright, it can happen.
