In case anyone noticed the nonsense I've been dealing with, and is curious:
What happened:
I had a frustrating conversation with someone where I tried to explain trans issues, but he couldn’t grasp the difference between actual transgender issues vs, say, a girl who just buys clothes from the men’s department. In my frustration, I made a post on FB saying that letting people identify ~however they want~ actually DOES hurt the trans community, because it makes it more difficult to educate people on the issues at hand and fetishizes and mocks the struggles felt by the trans community.
In sum: People who are not trans, should not claim to be trans.
And the responses I received:
Accused of trying to act like a “gatekeeper,” and of trying to decide people’s identities for myself …Note, I never said people have to prove to me that they’re trans “enough.” Just that people who aren’t part of a community shouldn’t claim that they are.
People agreed with me. Then yelled at me for saying the same thing they just agreed to.
COMPLETELY ignored one trans person they didn’t agree with, then accused me of “talking over” when they found a trans person they DID agree with. Which… again, we all agreed on the same point so idk why they were against me to begin with.
Accused me of trying to diagnose dysphoria lolwhat
Assumed that I claimed someone has to feel severe anxiety or hate their body to qualify as trans… when did I ever say that tho
Accused of “white knighting.”
My best friend of 10+ years was called my “token trans friend”
>“You’re using your friend as a crutch. >Ok here are other people and sources where I’ve formed my opinion >"I’m upset that you’re taking the opinion of total strangers over mine.” >Well, my friend isn’t a total stranger… >“Token trans friend!”
“I agree, it’s bad to pretend. But I don’t get to decide who is pretending, and neither do you.” …Ok but I never accused anyone of pretending. I only said it’s bad to pretend lol.
Someone else made a passive aggressive post claiming I was trying to say people aren’t “trans enough.”
Same person called me intolerant of nonbinary and genderqueer people. Again, where the fuck did that come from.
That I believe trans people are fictional. (These claims just kept getting wilder, like a snowball rolling down a hill, man)
So basically, I’m “alienating” people from words others put in my mouth.
From making the simple claim that people who are not part of a community shouldn’t claim that they are, everyone somehow assumed that I was trying to have the final say on who is “transgender” enough for me. No matter how many times I said no, that’s not what I’m saying, all I’m saying is that it’s wrong to pretend, which we all agree on, and everything else you’re saying is your own fabrication. They constructed me into a physical strawman. There was no way for me to “win” because they were creating their own arguments for me.
So is suppose that’s why I don’t care to lose people. If I’m defriended because of the imaginary things I’ve never said, those people weren’t real friends to begin with, so. Bye.

Do…do people not understand the concept of sperm donation?
Haha, true, that is a possibility, but in this case, I completely understand the apprehension. There’s a dark community of shitlords in the Dragon Age fandom who actually do mod Dorian to have sex with their female Inquisitor. And to add insult to injury, they taint the internet with their trash fanfic about it too.
hah I said taint

“Tumblr: WHY IS THERE NO SUPPORT FOR [issue] WHY IS NOBODY TALKING...”
It's almost like SJWs have victim complexes.
GOTTA RACK UP ENOUGH OPPRESSION POINTS TIL I’M ALLOWED TO HAVE AN OPINION

Me: Don't do it.
Me: Bitch don't do it.
Lianara: *barely misses the train and drives on the tracks*
Me: Oh my god.
imagine the Dragon Age companions trying to play DnD together omg
Lianara: *playing DA:O for the first time, talking about Cullen being tortured, damning the demons for tempting him with his "shame" of loving a mage, the one thing he could never have*
Me: ten years later he gets his dick stuck in not just any mage, but the son of a Tevinter magister ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
