“Me too,” he says. “I thought I was dead too.”

Merry Memori present for @icetastrophe
Icetastrophe
Aka if no one else will make content for this ridiculous but fun movie I will.
1. The fact that it is a Christmas movie, and it never stops being a Christmas movie. The little refences to Santa, hot cocoa, and making it home in time for Christmas. Not to mention the way certain people survive really feels like a Christmas miracle.
2. The cast??? So many actors I recognized from stuff I liked, especially from Continuum.
3. Related, but Jonathon Young as a mischief-filled but caring mentor who teases his student but also tries to look after her is something I never knew I needed. The fact that he’s only in three minutes of this movie is an unspeakable tragedy, but I definitely headcanon that he shows up right after the end with Starbucks, going “What did I miss?”
4. How deeply everyone comes to care about each other? Characters who just met, family/friends, and peoole who have all but hated each other for years?
5. The romance between Marley and Tim is so sweet? I just cannot get over it. Him doing so much for her, the “I love you”s, the holding onto each other.... ;-;
6. The balance between Alex and Charlie? How he’s so practically-minded and she’s so scienctifically-minded, but while they sometimes disagree because of it, it’s never a source of hostility or anything? Not really sure what their dynamic is supposed to be, but it’s GOOD.
7. Faye still cares so deeply for Charlie?
8. The one-liners? There are so many one-liners.
9. The science is so stupid that I can’t help but laugh. Very quickly I just got to the point of “Why not? This might as well happen.”
10. All of the main characters are good guys except for Ben, and he redeems himself? Not that they’re perfect, but they’re genuinely good people who want to do the right thing.
11. The boat called “Pure Joy” just shook me. Like, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you face trials of many kinds?” (James 1:2) Them riding that boat away from the scary ice waves? Brilliant. So Good.
Christmas Icetastrophe, a movie review
Christmas Icetastrophe, a movie review
Christmas Icetastrophe, directed by Jonathan Winfrey2014 Think about your favorite movie. In your opinion, what makes it a great movie? Is it the acting? The storyline? The impression it left on you? A good movie will have three things: a good story, an overarching theme, and the ability to make you care about its characters. An okay movie has two of these things. A bad movie, such as the movie…

Alex was just a grad student who had a really weird day, and I love that for her.
Sunday mood: watching some Richard Harmon even if it is no John Murphy at all :) No horror at all^^

It’s been my dream since I was a kid... I have a very vivid memory about watching Smallville, whenever the opening titles came on, I thought it was so cool. I was like, I'll never get a chance to be a lead in a CW show.
