I've gotta talk about kobichi more because the world needs more of it but I'm struggling for ideas

I like the idea of warlord!ichi bringing his bf to meet his family and his brother's crew only to be sideswiped on koby and Luffy knows each other. I think also koby and puld try to take it in stride that several former warlords are trying to not give the deepest shovel talks they can but it's bad. It's so bad still.

To See a Ghost

Ichiby AU

To See a Ghost After an incident with a devil fruit user, Koby will be able to the ghosts of the dead who have unfinished business. In order to get rid of the effects, Koby must help one of these ghosts finish things off. Koby meets Sora Vinsmoke, a mother who wanted nothing more than to free her children from Judge's clutches. Koby now must go and help the four suffering Vinsmoke siblings reclaim their lives and humanity. Ichiji Vinsmoke is the first, his first emotion being love. Now Koby must take the other Vinsmokes, with Ichiji's help, away from Germa. (Reiju & Koby as friends[Pink Duo], Niji & Koby as a one-sided rivalry, Yonji & Koby as damage/damage control, Ichiji & Koby as lovers.)

Koby stumbled backwards as the blonde woman looked down at him. She was mostly transparent and had tears running down her face.

Earlier Koby had been struck by a devil fruit user during a battle with a newer pirate crew, and as they were being locked up under the ship, Koby has caught sight of the woman standing in the middle of the mess. He had assumed she was part of the pirate crew, but something felt off about her. His attention had been dragged away by one of his crew members, so he forgot about it. It was late when Koby returned to the deck of the ship, the rest of his crew had already gone to bed or taken their posts for the night. The woman was standing near the railing of the ship when Koby went to confront her. He went to place a hand on her shoulder, but stumbled backwards after his hand passed through her body. The woman turned around in shock at the action. The first thing Koby noticed when he looked at her, was the uncanny resemblance to Blackleg Sanji. The next thing that he noticed, was the fact that he could see through her.

I think Ichiji would be one of the most jealous people on earth when it comes to Koby even though quite literally Koby's job is to be around a lot of people and do dumb shit on behalf of the marines and it drives Ichiji up the wall.

Ichiby eloping au!

After three years of sneaking out and hiding from his family, Ichiji was ready to marry his husband and leave the Vinsmokes behind. After a chance encounter with a marine, Koby, Ichiji began to wonder if there was more to life than being a mindless robot who bends to the wishes of a cruel man. Ichiji had run into Koby many times and began to grow enamoured with him, not that Ichiji had realized it at the time. It took a lot of confidence, but Ichiji had confided in the marine about his wonders, and that marine made it his mission to show Ichiji what his life could be like. From that day on Ichiji began sneaking away after hastily finishing up missions and secretly keeping in contact with his new friend. Everyone knows how that kind of story goes... they fall in love and then ends in tragedy. But Ichiji and Koby didn't want that, they wanted to live freely together. Koby wanted Ichiji to see the world and live. Ichiji wanted to see Koby achieve his dreams and be happy, and he'd be damned if he wasn't there for the day his fiance became an admiral.

Everything was going according to plan. Ichiji had made sure there was no way Judge could track him, Koby was on the way with hair bleach and blond dye, Helmeppo was getting the marriage certificates and picking up the rings, Garp was ready to officiate a wedding on the fly, Hibari and Tashigi as witnesses, and Smoker as security. Everything was going according to plan. Ichiji Vinsmoke would be no more, and in his place would be Ichiji Prince, known to the public as Pion. Ichiji reached the hotel room he and Koby would be staying in, and quickly got to work. It took a few hours, but Ichiji's hair was now a similar color to Sanji's. He took the scissors and trimmed his hair slightly, and styling it to look similar to Reiju's but shorter. He flipped his bangs and styled them to at least cover his eyebrows. By the time he was done, ichiji could barely recognize himself. He ran to put on his suit and rush to the nearby church.

After everything was said and done, Ichiji and Koby now sported matching rings that hung on chains around their necks. Ichiji was ready to start his life with his husband by his side. Little did they know, on a nearby building a woman with bright pink hair wiped away a tear and felt happiness bloom in her heart for the first time in a long time. The woman watched the two married men and the rest of their party make their way to a nice restaurant to celebrate, and as soon as she was sure they were going to be safe, she left with a secret to take to her grave.

This was a lil rushed sorry! Totally love the idea of ichiji saying fuck it and running off to get married tho

Niji and Yonji find him pathetic but are otherwise indifferent, Reiju thinks he's okay and that he's good for Ichiji, Judge hates him because he probably would see Koby as threat to his most successful experiment, and Sanji likes Koby but doesn't know much about him aside from the fact that Luffy likes him. For their relationship, once established and out , Niji, Yonji, and Reiju feel as stated above and shocked, Judge would try to break them up for sure, and Sanji's jaw is dropped but is begrudgingly finding the two cute together.

Honestly that idea sounds WONDERFUL! They often can end up on the opposite side of things in school and later in real life. They probably meet during some kind of mock trial (correct me if I’m wrong about that happening, I have NO idea what law school would be like), in which Koby wins and there’s a one sided rivalry beginning. From there we get a good ol (one sided) enemies to lovers lmao! In the beginning Ichiji is extremely in denial about his feelings and Koby has the equivalent of a hallways crush on the guy! As Ichiji continues to go after and prompt Koby with cases, they start meeting in cafes for more “mini-mock trials”(dates in disguise really) and use as practice and to study. They eventually do get together, after a lot of teasing on both ends, and have to learn to keep work life out of their home

Back on my Ichiby bs! Thought i'd take a lil detour and give the amnesia au a break before all hell breaks loose. So instead I'll throw out a lil secret relationship, modern au!

Information

Koby-sophomore, rotc kid, poor asf and lives with Alvida.

Ichiji-junior, rich kid, fairly popular, him and his siblings are like idols bc their dad has money. (Stereotyping is so fun)

Sanji went through more mental abuse rather than physical due to laws and media appearances. Sora still died, having gotten sick after having the quadruplets. Judge wanted his kids to become immoral scientists that work under him, and Sora hadn't liked that so she instead tried to run away but failed.

This isn't a full blown au i'm writing out, but just a lil extensive idea with a skeleton.

Koby and Ichiji have been dating for about a year, having meet and gotten together after being paired up for a history project. They never told anyone because Judge could react badly and they'd face a lot of judgement from their peers. (Not that Ichiji cares about that, but it's more fo Koby's sake) They often meet up while the other Vinsmoke siblings are at a party, Ichiji sneaking off to meet Koby at the park or on a rooftop somewhere. They often sit together and eat or they talk about their dreams. Ichiji secretly wants to reform his father's company and is sick of playing the perfect Vinsmoke, and Koby wants to either go into the military or become a lawyer. If they aren't talking, they sit in silence. They rarely bring up their home lives unless Alvida does something extremely bad or if Ichiji catches a glimpse of Sanji in the city. Eventually at one of Helmeppo's parties, Ichiji and Koby get caught making out by some of the school gossips and it all goes downhill from there. Judge disowns Ichiji, but Zeff adopts him so Ichiji and Sanji reconcile. Alvida doesn't really care so there's no change with Koby.

5+1 AUUUUUU

5 times Ichiby almost get caught + 1 Time they do! I love these kinds of tropes. (warning, slight mentions of underage smut, doesn't happen tho, just teens being teens)

1st time- Ichiji and Koby are out at the mall together, in disguise obviously, and they nearly run into the strawhat crew, who are essentially just close friends here. Koby and Luffy are fairly good friends, which almost gets them caught. Meanwhile Ichiji can tell Sanji is onto him as they narrowly escape.

2nd time- Ichiji meet up behind the school to eat lunch together, but nearly get caught because some girl and guy came around, que nsfw scare for Ichiby, but a confession was about to happen. They have to hide very quietly behind a bush. The girl gets rejected and runs off, and the guy sighs and says he's gay. Once they're gone Ichiji and Koby come out from behind the bushes and laugh.

3rd time- Ichiji and Koby were supposed to be doing homework and got caught up kissing and cuddling when Alvida gets home. They don't hear her come in and don't realize she's there until Alvida bangs on Koby's door and tells him to do the dishes. They jump apart and Koby yells out an apology while quickly trying to look less someone who was just kissing their boyfriend. Ichiji on the other hand groans and hides his face in a pillow.

4th time- Koby and Ichiji are once again hanging out at Koby's house when Koby hears a knock on the door. He opens it to see Helmeppo, Tashigi, and Hibari. Koby lets them in while he panics and tries to stall them so Ichiji can escape. Ichiji ends up going out Koby's bedroom window. When they all enter Koby's room, and get settled, Helmeppo finds a too-large-for-Koby jacket and asks who it belongs to. Koby has to spend a moment spewing out a story of how he got it at a thrift store for cheap. Later that week Koby wears the jacket to school to keep up with the story and it makes Ichiji very happy.

5th time- Koby is studying with his friends when he gets a call, the icon for the call only being a red heart. Koby flusters and steps out to take the call. Meanwhile the others speculate on who it could be. When Koby comes back they hound him with questions, which he successfully dodges.

+1 time they get caught- Ichiji and Koby had gotten bold and ended up in Ichiji's room to hang out. Ichiji was convinced his family would be out the rest of the day. His father was in France and his other siblings were out shopping for the next few hours. After a while one thing led to another and Ichiji ended up on top of Koby and they were making out. Caught up in the moment, they didn't hear the other siblings arrive home. Yonji bursts into Ichiji's room and stops dead in his tracks before yelling. Koby pushes Ichiji off of him and Ichiji starts cursing. The other two sibling come running into the room and are shocked by what they see, which is a very red Koby and panicked Ichiji, both of which look very messy at that moment. This ends in a very fun talk between siblings+Koby

BONUS- Koby is at the mall with Helmeppo and their other friends when the Vinsmoke sibs come up to them. Those who don't know the situation are slight intimidated. Ichiji mumbles a hello to Koby and kisses him, Koby flusters a bit before greeting him back, also saying hello to his boyfriend's siblings. In the wise words of Helmeppo, "What the fuck."

Oh my gods yes! Miriam probably fell and scraped her knee so Koby had to make sure it was bandaged and kissed all better! Ichiji seeing that and falling further in love!! Poor Ichiji can't really get hurt like that thanks to Judge though... doesn't mean he can't have headaches! He definitely goes up to Koby anytime he has a headache and tells him, and it takes a few days before he catches on! Now anytime Ichiji even mentions any sort of hurt, Koby will automatically go up and kiss his forehead. Miriam loves seeing them be sweet, Smokey is disgusted by it (not)
