opla coco village (ep 7&8?) spoilers!!!

ok so the first thing that had me confused was the fact that it was called coco village and not cocoyashi village?? i’m still confused as to why but i mean i can live with it

what i CANT live with was the fact that they ruined nami and nojiko’s relationship!! i haven’t seen anything from the start of the manga in a LONG time but when nojiko spit on nami and yelled at her for desecrating their mother’s grave i was so confused

i thought it was like nojiko and everyone knew the whole time but they didn’t say it, and when the la didn’t do that i was so confused i thought it was just some fanfic i read

but it turns out i was right!! nojiko and cocoYASHI village knew the whole time, but didn’t say anything so that nami could and would be able to run away if she wanted to

and i’m so mad that they ruined nani’s relationship with the village, and i’m also sad that it didn’t really show her caring for children as well!!

one of the main scenes i remember about nami is her beating up a kid and throwing money at him so that he could get away from arlong, since she didn’t beat him up so badly. but in the la she was just hated by everyone and didn’t seem to care for anything! her sympathy for children comes back later in punk hazard too!! but they still didn’t put it in!!

so also with the ruined backstory, nojiko’s tattoos were just there. no reason, just there, and it had me so confused, especially since you can see the similarities with nami’s tattoo and nojiko’s tattoo at the end

i feel like they could have included the backstory correctly, and it still would have been okay. they ruined nami’s relationship imo, and it made following canon seem weird so i’m just really mad

(i think emily rudd still did a wonderful job with her portrayal of nami, it was just that she suffered from the writing)

i want a one piece chapter or filler where nami gets one of the straw hats to turn her in for her bounty and then escapes back to the sunny where her gold is waiting for her

i was thinking ‘it’s so unrealistic that nami only got a bounty after enies lobby like look at all those crimes she’s committed’

truth is she was just too good to be caught
