Prince of Stride - The Live Stage Official Blog: Cast Intro #22

This month we did parkour lessons two weeks in a row! Yesterday we set up a course in the gym with lots of obstacles, split everyone into two teams, and had a competition! The cast and the staff who watched all got really into it. It really made you think: “Now, this is stride!” Everyone’s parkour abilities are gradually improving. You should all look forward to the actual performance! This week we’re introducing Tani Yoshiki, who plays Ichijokan’s relationer, Dozono Shiki! Even though Tani plays a relationer and doesn’t have to take parkour lessons, he and the relationers from other schools have been actively participating. Tani always smiles during lessons and that’s just like Dozono! But there’s more to Dozono than that; he’s actually a trouble-maker. I’m really looking forward to seeing how he plays him (*^^*) Now, here’s a message from Tani!! Hi everyone! It’s nice to meet you! I’m Tani Yoshiki‼︎ I will be playing the role of Ichijokan’s relationer, Dozono Shiki, in Prince of Stride THE LIVE STAGE. Ichijokan won’t be in any of the episodes until next year, but together I want to work with my teammates to show you some intense parkour on stage. ”He's mean! He's trash! I want to smash his glasses!” It’s rumored that’s what people say about Dozono. XD I really hope I can become that trashy, mean Dozono Shiki on stage and make you all want to smash his glasses; I’d love for you to smash his glasses. XD Just kidding XD I’ll do my best to show you how Dozono Shiki thinks, so that you can see the other side of him. XD So please don’t smash his glasses. Next year I’ll embrace my role and do my best to become a vital part of Prince of Stride THE LIVE STAGE. I can’t wait to meet you all at the theater!!!! That’s all from me. I’m really sorry that our update is late! ＞＜ It’s a day late, but here’s the fourth cast intro. ☆ Today’s cast member is Tanabe Ken, who plays Shishibara from Ichijokan. We knew it from the time he was chosen to play Shishibara, but Tanabe is a well-built guy! During parkour practice, he’s intense; he’s always moving around and even when he does the simplest of moves, he makes you think, “Wow, he’s strong!” However, usually he’s very calm and it seems like he’s always smiling. This is just like Shishibara!! XD Look forward to seeing him run around on stage. ☆

Now here’s a message from Tanabe!!

“Nice to meet you!! I’m Tanabe Ken, and I play Shishibara Kaoru from Ichijokan! I’m really happy that I’m a part of this stage play, which is based on such a passionate, cool, and great work!

There are many schools, but Ichijokan is the only school that is portrayed as a villain. It’s an honor to play the superhuman Shishibara Kaoru. My daily training really paid off!

Training is a hobby of mine, but my whole body is still completely worn-out after every parkour lesson! I’m confident in my ability and I feel I’m tough, but all of the other cast members are so strong and nimble!!! Lately all I can think about is how I still have a long way to go... There’s still about a year until Episode 2 and 3, so everyday I’ll stay diligent and I’ll make sure to perfect my Shishibara body and acquire skill like Shishibara’s!!

Both the cast and the staff love Prince of Stride so much. Surely an amazing stage is waiting for our unrivaled team of guys after we get through all of the training! I’m looking forward to presenting it to everyone.”
