This is just wishful thinking but what if the reason ichikawa having such a long break is because shes making another artbook or working on volume 13 of houseki or something art related? Wishful thinking still tho

Does someone have some articles and/or think pieces on the Buddhist symbolism, eventual narrative red thread in Houseki no Kuni? I would be really interested reading about these themes since, while the story remains highly engaging, I’m afraid to lack a lot of context or subtle significances.

NATSUko ISHIkawa is NOT the author of Houseki no Kuni, also known as Land of The Lustrous, a manga series about gem people and existential crisis

This has to be made otherwise I'll keep thinking that Ichikawa-sensei took a long hiatus on Houseki no Kuni because she had to help Yoshi-P writing Endwalker.
