Uh  oh.  She’s looking at him like she expects an answer and Ben had most definitely stopped listening halfway through their conversation. Not that he doesn’t want to listen to her, his mind seems to have wandered off without realising. Time to take a shot in the dark.    “Uh, yes....”

the  smell  that  clings  to  the  girl  causes her to do a double take. it is her face that causes her to blink, essentially this means she is now doing a triple take. malia is almost certain she knows that face from somewhere, brain associating her with a photo either scott or stiles has shown her, in passing. she doesn’t smell human, but she’s not were-creature, either. it causes her to tense, malia feels uncomfortable not being able to place the scent. she raises a brow, curiosity clearly written across her features.       “allison?”

Ben  knows  he  isn’t  welcome  at  The  Bar.  It is not just Dakota’s dislike for him that keeps him away, but sometimes it feels as if the entire building is rejecting him like a bad transplant. Which is why he asked her to meet him at his place. Even tried his best to clean up a little, from his most recent spiral of no sleep and obsessive researching. Some of the signs are still present: the bags under his eyes, the can of energy drink that is bigger than any human should truly be consuming, the stack of books on the coffee table. Ben hears the front door open -- of course, she is always welcome here, why wouldn’t she let herself in? --- and stands up from the couch. He even manages a smile as he approaches her.                    “He---hey ..... thanks for comin’...”
