Jealousy, Ichthys.
Date night with your friend Hiyori was going really well. The two of you had decided to check out a new bar close to the Planetarium, it was a quite relaxed place, with great music but it wasn’t too loud that you couldn’t have a proper conversation, and they served delicious cocktails.
As the two of you sat chatting at a booth along the back, two men approached. One of which seemed to take quite the interest in Hiyori. The two men joined you both, and while one drew Hiyori’s attention away, the other sparked a conversation with you. He was being very gentlemanly if a little stiff, but he was nice and you got along well. He started asking questions about you like where you worked. You told him about the planetarium, animatedly talking about stars. This man listened intently as you spoke. You were enjoying yourself and Hiyori seemed happy too. When the evening came to an end, the two men offered to walk you home, but you declined. You were going to get a taxi anyway.
When you were next in work, you were rather surprised to see the man you had met at the bar turned up. He struck up another conversation with you, asking questions about the stars. You answered what you could, then the questions became personal again, it only then occurred to you that he was flirting with you. You tried to shake it off, keeping your answers short and quick, but he kept on. He wasn’t being rude or anything like that if anything he was being very polite and gentlemanly but you were very much taken.
Ichthys walked through the door while you were still talking. Something the man said had made you chuckle. Just as Ichthys spotted you. A pout appeared on his face. He wasn’t sure if you were working or socialising at this point, but you were going to be late for your lunch date with him. Finally, you spotted the God standing off in the distance, he was just about to click his fingers, no doubt for a prank, but when you smiled at him brightly, he stopped lowering your hand. The man you were talking too noticed your attention was caught, turning he spotted Ichthys himself. It was like something clicked in his mind. “Is that your boyfriend?” he asked.
“Yeah” you replied happily. “Well if you would excuse me, I have a lunch date”
Finally getting the chance to escape you headed over to Ichthys. You had only just reached him when Ichthys pulled you into a joyful hug. You blushed deeply.
“Ready” you chirped, hoping to leave and get away from the stares. Ichthys grabbed hold of your hand leading you out, before leaving you waved to your coworkers, indicating you were away.
Your date was to be in the park nearby, Ichthys had planned it all and would be providing the food. You had no doubt there was going to be a prank amongst it, but that was Ichthys. The god you loved. Ichthys animatedly talked about a few pranks he pulled on Zyglavis and Scorpio. You laughed along, wishing you could see their faces. When you reached the perfect spot to sit down. Ichthys pretended to pull out a chair for you. You played along plonking yourself down on the ground, with Ichthys sitting beside you.
He placed the basket in front of you, waiting for you to tuck in, you flicked the lid up only to be met by a pop-up snake. You let out a little scream, Ichthys burst into a fit of laughter.
“It’s a human prank right, I saw it when I was last here” he noted. You hit him playfully.
Ichthys chuckled again, before pulling out the food. The two of you enjoyed lunch, laughter rung out from you both. There was never a dull moment between you. Then Ichthys face dropped, you noticed it instantly.
“Ichthys?” you asked. His head shot up, with a smile on his face again.
“I uh didn’t interrupt earlier did I?” he asked, it took a moment to realise what he was talking about, but you guessed he meant the conversation you were having with that man.
“Oh, no, he was just asking about the Planetarium” you clarified. Ichthys face brightened up. Was he really worried about it?.
“Okay, so what should we do tonight?” he asked. You had already thought about it, there was a comedy show on tonight at the bar you had attended with Hiyori, you saw the poster when you were there. When you suggested it, he agreed happily you hoped he would like it, actually would he even understand some of the jokes?. Every time he was on earth you would dedicate some time to show him around, showing him earth and humans way of life, so he should have some understanding.
After that wonderful lunch, you got back to the grind. Afterwards, you rushed out, meeting Ichthys outside he teleported you home so that you had time to get changed before the show started.
The two of you arrived early to make sure you got a good seat in front of the stage. Ichthys slide close to you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders, he leant in a bit.
“I missed you” he noted, his tone was serious. He was being genuine, with no hint of a joke.
“I missed you too” you smiled, he kissed your lips playfully with a smile on his face. The first time you had met him you thought he was cheerful and carefree, but that wasn’t completely true, now he was genuinely happy and cheerful.
“Y/N” you suddenly heard your name being called. It was the same man as before. Ichthys frowned a little. While you said your hellos.
“Oh, this is Ichthys, Ichthys this is M/N” you introduced. Ichthys smiled brightly, but you could see something behind that smile. M/N said goodbye before leaving the two of you alone.
“So uh who’s he?” Ichthys asked, trying to sound casual. You told him that you had met him at this bar, while you and Hiyori were here.
“And he showed up at the Planetarium?” Ichthys asked,
“Yeah he seemed interested in stars” you replied. Ichthys could hear the innocence in your voice, you were oblivious to the fact that M/N was clearly into you. You had noticed him flirting, but didn’t pay any mind to it.
“Em, does he know about me?” he asked, he was still trying to play it off as unimportant but you could tell it was bothering him
“Yeah, I told him at the Planetarium, and uh I think he would figure it out, look at us” You smiled sweetly. Ichthys was pouting it was so adorable.
“He seems like a serious guy, not like Zig or Scorpio” Ichthys pointed out.
“Yeah, the complete opposite to you when you think about it”
Hearing that Ichthys expression changed, he didn’t like the sound of it. You knew it. He was jealous.
“He’s got nothing on you though,” you said absentmindedly.
“What?” Ichthys tone was kind of harsh, but it wasn’t aimed at you. M/N was staring over at you he seemed to be ignoring Ichthys glares. “No one can make me happy as you do” you replied, you turned to him smiling warmly. The way you were looking at him caused a deep blush on Ichthys cheeks. When your words finally sunk in he beamed back at you. Then he got that mischievous look in his eye. You knew straight away that he was scheming. M/N was still staring, over so Ichthys pointed out, you smiled back. Behind you, you heard a snapping sound. But before you could turn back to him, the table in front of M/N broke, sending all the drinks on flying on to his lap. You stared in shock for a moment, Ichthys, however, found it quite amusing.
“Really?” you asked, trying to sound annoyed but you weren’t, you actually found it quite funny yourself. Ichthys didn’t say anything, instead, he pressed his lips to yours.
“Sorry, I just get jealous sometimes” he replied truthfully. “Ichthys you never have any reason to be jealous, I love you and only you” you replied sternly so he would understand.
The two of you kept eye contact, while the lights went down and the comedian came on stage. Once the comedian started speaking the two of you finally turned around, “I love you too” Ichthys whispered back.
