They'd been sitting inside the library for a while now, discussing what presents they could get for others, while waiting on Albedo to finish whatever it was that he'd came here to do in the first place. He'd tried to explain about some type of experiment, but Klee hadn't been paying too much attention. Now, she had paper littering their table, drawing a few new designs of jumpy dumpty. "Would they like one of these?"

"Wow! Xue is really really strong!". Klee clapped happily as they finished clearing out the nearby hillichurl camp, Kaeya having stuck nearby just incase they had needed the extra help, but also quite aware of how important it was to let the Spark Knight loose from time to time - it generally protected Mondstadt. "How did you learn how to fight like that? Is using a spear hard? Klee thinks they look so heavy..."

"Oh. Well, isn't this a pleasant surprise?"

Of all the faces to run into this far from her native world, who would have thought that she'd ever witness the face of this child ever again? Oh, he may have matured, but she could still make out the small child that he once was, could still recall how determined he was to protect the lands that were hers by right alone. Now, how had he ended up all the way here? There was a story there, she was sure, a smile gracing her features as she took a small sip from the tea she held, her other hand raising to motion to the seat across from her own. "Please - sit. It'd be nice to have a catch-up, don't you think?"

He'd been trying his best to stick to areas where there were less likely to be people travelling, and though that meant that he had to fight more enemies overall, he had been doing such a good job at remaining hidden - until now. Ice flew from his fingers as he tried to freeze the swarm of golden butterflies that were hot on his tail, the small creatures falling for a few seconds, before taking back to the air and diving towards him. With a yelp, he'd jumped over a low wall, just to come face to face with what seemed to be another child, eyes widening slightly, before he rushed towards them, using his vision to quickly form a shield around them both, the swarm hitting against the ice in obvious rage. "I...I'm sorry! When I count to five run back towards Liyue Harbour...I'll draw them away". It was him they were after - but he couldn't allow other people to be hurt because of his carelessness either. He should have remained in Mondstadt.

(@icicle-dragon) today Yanfei gets a hug from Xue. He just wanted to and was excited to see her. His tail does a happy little swish as he wraps his little arms around her.

She could hear the patter of hurried steps before seeing him, a sound that has become all too familiar. At least Xue didn’t have the strength to knock her over from the impact (unlike a few others that wouldn’t be named lest she wanted them to tackle her next). Yanfei returns the hug with a grateful smile, making a small effort to fix his unruly hair.

“Good morning! Did you need to tell me anything or are you just happy to see me?”

A small chuckle escapes from the woman, who only seconds before had appeared to be rather series, her fingers drifting to close over the report she'd been reading over, glancing towards the child with a smile, "Why? Do you believe that the title does not fit me - or had you expected for me to be referred to as 'Mother'? It's simply a title that's been passed down, much like that of Arlecchino. I took over from the previous Father - who just so happened to be a woman too", she added with a small chuckle.

He'd been following a similar energy to Xiao this morning. The young adeptus didn't pay much attention to where exactly he was going. He figured if his big brother was around here, it'd be okay... Unless it's one of no no explore zones... Then he'd probably get in trouble. But he realized when he saw a figure that didn't resemble Xiao, he knew something was off and he should find a way to slip away undetected. He saw them move and he quickly hid behind the nearest tree. As he peeked his head out from behind, he caught the glimpse of a firey lady.

He continued observing to see if it'd be safe for him to stealth away or possibly approach the stranger.

Random Asks - Always Welcomed

With a click of her fingers, the figure before her burst into flames, their screams no longer causing her to flinch. Instead, she knelt down and started looking through the remaining ashes, a soft sigh escaping her as she once again came up with nothing. Another loose end taken care of, but not the ring leader - if she didn't pick up her pace, she was sure to be punished.

Such a thought had her scratch at her neck, feeling the cold metal of a collar digging uncomfortably into her skin, the figure pausing though as she suddenly had the sensation that she was being watched - fear blooming within the depths of her heart. Was she already too late? Was that the return of her Master? She thought she still had a few hours....but then again, since when did that Goddess ever play fair?

Flames wrapped around her hand, forming a spear as she stepped back towards the edges of the clearing, trying to sense what was out there. It didn't feel like her Master - but that didn't mean that it couldn't still mean trouble for her. "Who's there?", she called out, voice a little harsher than intended, but her nerves were hanging on by a thread by this point...
