World Television Day, 21 November
World Television Day is celebrated annually on 21 November, recognizing the impact that television has on world decision-making as a tool for communication and globalization in the contemporary world. It brings world attention to conflicts and threats to peace and security and plays a role in sharpening the focus on major issues. It was established in 1997 by General Assembly resolution 51/205.
