INTERGALACTIC CRIME UNIT MALFUNCTION (ICUM) II: MILITARY BANQUET
Read Part 1 here
Major Daniel York is tasked to handle the general meeting of NATO military commander in Brussels to update on the current condition in the Eastern frontier. Behind the astute and well-composed man of uniform, reside a parasitic alien that smirked victoriously as he managed to infect the entire thing that these humans will put in their mouth and will probably have full control of the whole meeting room in a short period of time. It was a classic takeover starter with the Major went into the kitchen early in the morning and infected every single chefs, their sous chef and servers that's working for the day to provide nutritious meal for the meeting attendant. From then on, the hive mind that is all connected to Major Daniel as the progenitor of all the parasite within the perimeter decided to synchronize themselves to achieve maximum parasite takeover potential
He sees around the room, some General and his teams that choked for a brief second due to the infected still water as they chugged from their glass. It was a unique process because while the water indeed went down to the drain in their body, the liquid parasite split itself from the still water upon entering the mouth and instead flow without any obstacle into the brain. That was the cause of the temporary seizure as these aliens quickly planted itself to the brain and nervous system of their incoming host while slowly and surely trying to engulfed the entirety of it as the time goes by to assume full, undisturbed control.
And just like that, when the meeting eventually started, the point of discussion shifted from its usual topic about strategic capabilities, warring update and membership into the plot to populate the rest of the Earth. When the Secretary General addressed Major Daniel York as "Father" and give the stage for him to a roaring applause from the audience, human is another step closer to its extinction when its elite leaders are no longer working on the behalf of humanity
