A viking never cries
Hiccup was visiting Jack's lake. He hadn't seen the winter sprite for a while. He was worried. He set out on Toothless to try and find the guardian of winter. After a few days, the teenage viking reached the lake. He remembered all the times he had visited Jack. Not only when they were alone, but all the times he had been a guardian. He remembered ever kiss and intimate moment.
He scoured the landscape for any sign of his former love. Toothless then made a movement." What's up bud?" Hiccup asked. Toothless soared down, making Hiccup close the night fury's tail.
When they had landed, Toothless prodded Hiccup. He was motioning to a lone body. Hiccup approached the body. " Jack?" he asked. As the viking came closer he realized something wasn't right. He ran to see him. " Please dont be Jack.." He muttered.
He knew.
It was Jack.
Hiccup felt his heart pound in his chest. " Jack" He tried to wake up the boy. Nothing. Tears started to fall down Hiccup's cheeks. " Jack!" He shouted. Toothless tried nudging the boy. Nothing happened.
Hiccup knew. He knew he was too late, Hiccup broke. He gave Jack a kiss. The boy was only just cold. Not the icy cold that Hiccup was used to. Hiccup cried. Toothless sat beside the viking.Even the mighty dragon was crying, He bowed his head, Tears fell on Jack's lifeless body. Hiccup kissed the boy one last time.
" Rest in peace Jack" He lamented as he took a knife from his belt and laid it on Jack's stomach.
He wasn't sure what to do now.
Hiccup was truly alone now. He only had Toothless.
