It’s very hard for Shaerian to let go of people they care for; it would take a lot of constant disappointment and issues for Shaerian to truly cut them from their like (or if they tried to harm you intentionally). Even still it’d be hard for them.

Probably his ability to get away with the most insane lies! A personal favorite of mine is when he told Ser Landry while in full Warden armor and with his wanted poster plastered all over Denerim that no, he wasn't a Grey Warden, and the fucker believed him! King shit

There is also an honorable mention to the time he told the demon at Soldier's Peak that he would destroy Avernus's tower only after she sealed the portal. She called his bluff, and he apologized and amended his proposal to... the exact same thing but for real this time 🤞 For whatever reason, she fell for this. So he helped her repair the tear in the Veil, brokered another deal with Avernus, then killed her ass. There's something wrong with that boy (deeply affectionate)

But a curse of a blessing of writing fic is that now i'm the one who has to come up with his lies 😓 Truly no rest for the wicked

"I can't remember why I'm in here," Alex sighs, pulling your attention up from where you'd been tapping away on your laptop and trying to finish what you're working on to look up at them.

They drift back out of the room and you hear them move into the living room before sitting down with a heavy shlump into the sofa. As you're working away you don't notice them moving again for about twenty minutes as they stand up and migrate back into the kitchen.

"Do you want a coffee?" they ask, flicking the kettle on and off a few times. You tip your eyes up to meet them and nod once, thankful when they stop clicking the switch and just let the kettle boil. The noise fills up the room as you continue to work, valiantly attempting to ignore them and failing miserably as they go about retrieving mugs and spoons for the both of you with much more noise than feels strictly necessary.

Eventually though, they leave and you manage to complete the emails Matt asked you to send to a few possible interviewees, helped along by getting a rush of caffeine into your system.

With the silence finally falling, you manage to finish your work, migrating into your living room. It takes about two minutes before they’re settled onto the sofa next you, cold feet pressing against your leg.

“You’re like a cat, you know that? Always showing up where I am.”

“It’s because I’m fond of you,” they say, grinning at you toothily. You’re almost tempted to dive into that some more, but you choose not to. You don’t want to scare them off.

33. Your shyest OC?

my ocs tend to run kind of... bold and obnoxious. a lot of them are from dnd or video games so they end up inheriting traits that i find fun to play. so, my shyest oc might not actually be considered that shy by other people? i've also shoved him into so many different settings over time, and each one obviously requires him to change somewhat, so he gets more or less shy depending on that too, but it's this guy:

You can call him Jay, he's the red-head cousin of Myrah from the previous ask. he's not from anything or for anything, one of my few genuinely original characters, not for any sort of game.

Don't get me wrong, he can definitely be annoying (affectionate), just like the majority of my ocs, but i'm defining him as shyest because of how flustered he can get with his love interest, Rose. in almost every scenario i put him in he has trouble confessing his feelings to her, and will drop his theatrics to short circuit if she shows even a hint of interest in him.

he's a sweetie. before they're together he'd have an easier time putting his life on the line for Rose, than admitting he has a crush. i'm counting that as shyness because... that's the closest i have. i love him.

44. Something you like about your OCs in general?

i'm not sure if this counts as an answer but i like how much joy they bring into my life? i have so much fun talking about ocs with my friends, drawing my ocs, playing table top and video games as my ocs, making new ocs, making oc playlists, finding fashion references for my ocs, making my ocs in sims, etc, etc. i have such a great time doing all of that, i think that's what i love most about having so many ocs!

9. watch a soap opera with, go to a play with, watch your favourite movie with for Novhen, Alistair, Sten 🍓

I know off the top that Sten is likely to be questioning what's going on the whole time. I'd rather not spend watching the movie explaining the basic plot and tropes, and I will absolutely not be taking him to a live entertainment venue. I don't watch soaps, but because I'm not already invested in any of their stories, there could be a lot of fun of finding one and then ripping into to shreds while pretending we aren't getting totally into it

It'll be Alistair for the movie. Now i should clarify from the previous paragraph, i do like talking during movies at home, just not constantly answering questions, and i'd bet he could get really into it once he catches on to the expectation. It'd be the same parasocial intensity football fans throw at the TV but aimed at, like, animated wizards

That leaves a play with Novhen. Honestly, he would probably love theater. It's such a raw form of storytelling. It's also a bit of process of elimination since i don't think he'd get into heckling the tv as much as he would silently criticize
