Did he still like building his own computers from scraps? Yes. Did that usually entail going through things by the trash that the pawn shops and smaller tech stores threw out, because they thought the item was worthless? Sure did. Was that pretty common in New York? Absolutely.
...it did not mean Peter was prepared to have someone else suddenly show up after he pulled half a motherboard, that was still perfectly fine, out of a box of radios, frying wires, and one walkman.
He paused and slowly pointed back into the box, "....do you want the keyboard? I already have one.."
