At least the lighting in the bathroom is a bit better, if not a bit too bright. Still better than my room though!
I actually wore lipstick out in public for the first time ever today. My sister, apart of what she got back for me for Christmas, was a great lipstick from Maybelline that comes out pretty nude, but still noticeable. Basically, it was noticeable enough for most females likely, but guys would probably be oblivious. So, I wore it out today on my walk and to get some coffee.
So I responded to (another) anon comment saying that I should get my brows done, and I’m 100% in agreement as always. To pretty much say the same thing as I did with the response, I’m in the process of officially requesting the paperwork to change my sex on my ID to female. At the same time, or close to, I’m going to officially get my name changed as well.
Hm... likely the order of: brows done > name change > name change w/ sex on ID change > name/sex on birth certificate change.
Anyway, I don’t think it’ll be a terrible process. I’m lucky enough to live in Washington State where the process is pretty well straight forward. Mostly just have to show up to court, put in a request, pay the $200-230 (to get copies of the request as well etc), wait until later in the day for my appearance, have the judge sign the paperwork and done.
From there it’s a matter of getting to the department of licensing and having them change the proper gender stuff, take a new photo and that’s that. I understand changing the berth certificate is pretty straight forward too, with a minimum of fees.
After all that, I just have a few other things to do. Talk to my banks, social security, insurance, and some other things. I guess I’d need to email my old/new photo ID to Blizzard so they can change my info there... work of course (my sister would know anyway naturally)... then... throw myself a small party.
So in other words there are a lot of relatively small things to do once I take the first couple big steps. Probably a not all in one day sort of thing, but not too complicated.
Then there’s the whole thing about my boss 100% knowing because he handles some paychecks and will probably wonder why he’s writing them out to Lana instead of my dead name... ugh...
Well now I have some things to think about, and I’ll just relax and maybe take a small nap.
I hope you all have a fabulous rest of your Tuesday!
