sometimes i stumble across posts from aromantics who are like ‘we feel love, we just love people differently’ and i’m just thinking, when do we decide that romantic love is a social construct (not real) and that aromantics just escaped the brainwashing but the other didn’t?

anyone wants to have a group with people aware of amatonormativity? i’m struggling to relate to people around me that all are following very traditional paths and would LOVE to have more queer people aware of amatonormativity in my life 🫶🏻 (not saying we should speak about how bad amatonormativity is 24/7, just have more bonds with people that are similar to us)

him: like a man and a woman being together and building a family together, your partner being your best friend

my best friend just moved in with her boyfriend in a new flat and i’m trying to see him as her life partner that could have had any status in her life rather than her boyfriend, so that i can be happy for her

it is so damn difficult to be happy for people who are focused on romantic relationships

if anyone needs to hear this cause they are dealing with a jealous ass - jealousy in romantic love is socially constructed because romantic love is not real. no, there is nothing natural about someone being jealous of your friends. no, there is nothing natural about being monogamous. no, there is nothing natural about limiting someone’s interactions with other people. no, romantic love isn’t above any other type of relationships.
