Hypnosis Microphone

Hypnosis Microphone is a rap battle CD series by KING RECORDS, EVIL LINE RECORDS, Idea Factory, and Otomate.

STORY

H Era. Wars caused by military power have been eradicated. But of course, in order to achieve that, many sacrifices were made. Replacing savage men, women now held the hegemony. All governmental matters are attended to in the “Chuuou District”*, where all men had been removed from. In there, a new law was established: it’s name is the “Bill of H”. The production of every weapon capable of killing are prohibited, and likewise every existing weapons were disposed of. However, only that won’t be able to stop the foolish men’s dispute. That’s why, conflicts are now decided not by guns, but by a special “Hypnosis Microphone” - a microphone that could interfere with the human mind. Words now held power. The world has become one where merits are decided by raps with fighting affinity. Men now live in places outside of Chuuou District - in areas such as the district of Shinjuku Division, Shibuya Division, Ikebukuro Division, and Yokohama Division. Each division’s representative MC group battles, and the winning district will obtain a decided part of the other’s territory. In a world where words, instead of weapons, held power, this is the territory-battle story of men who put their dignity at stake. *中王区 : has the same reading as 中央区, or central district (but with the kanji for King instead of Center)
