AD - This month @dementia_uk are challenging you to #RaiseYourGame to help raise vital funds to provide more Specialist Admiral Nurses to give one on one support to families and patients fighting Dementia. I lost my own Granda to Alzeimers, which is one of a handful of forms of Dementia. It was a hell of a thing to experience. It was heartbreaking to see him wither before our eyes. So I can see how having an Specialist Admiral Nurse there for support would have made our family experience easier in some ways. Mainly for what we would know what to expect next rather than each step of the disease being more traumatic than it needed. As having a close family member who was a Father, Uncle, Brother, Husband & Grandfather fight this was traumatic enough.
