I'm idemromantic and ace. I worry sometimes that my romantic partners will leave me because I'm as equally invested with them as I am with my best friends and don't prioritize romantic relationships over platonic ones. Because they feel approximately the same to me, the only difference being context and some behaviors (and thinking my girlfriends are incredibly pretty), I don't understand how I could put them before my friends. I don't think they mind at all! But the jealousy and misunderstanding I've seen from allo people/partners worries me occasionally.
Semi-nebulous(? I'm nebularo + idemro, it's a difficult-to-describe situation…) flectic attraction culture is “wait, wait, wait—! Ah, dang it!! I was this close to figuring out how I felt about this person, now I gotta start over…”
Idemiromantic: A mixed term for somebody who is both Idemromantic and Demiromantic. This is a micro-label falling under the Aro-Spec and Quoiromantic/WTF romantic labels. This label is a modifier for other labels, such as Idemihomoromantic, Idemiheteroromantic, Idemibiromantic, etc. This term is used to shorten Idem-Romantic and Demi-Romantic so that it’s a tad bit less of a mouthful to describe identities like “Demi-Idem-Heteroromantic”
Idemromantic: Idemromantics find that there is very little to no internal difference between romantic and platonic feelings, but are able to tell the difference via external factors (Age, emotional closeness, presence of sexual attraction, etc.). Idemromantics will often find their feelings towards their romantic partner as similar to that of a very close friend. Idemromantic is used as a modifier for other attractions, such as Idemhomoromanic, or idemheteroromantic. This is a micro-label that falls under Aro-spec and Quoiromantic (AKA WTFRomantic).
Demiromantic: Demiromantic is an identity on the Aro-spec where one does not develop romantic attachments until a signfigant emotional bond is formed. Demiromantic can be used on it’s own or combined with other orientations, such as Demi-Homoromantic, Demi-Heteroromantic, Demi-Biromantic, etc.

Basically what I did is I took the Idemromantic flag, and then I added a triangle split into thirds with the colors of the demiromantic flag. Except I changed the demi-ro green to be more of a dark pastel green. But I felt like that wasn’t enough/the triangle blended into the idemromantic colors too much, so I added a dark grey nearly black outline around the triangle, and then added a line shooting out like in the demiromantic flag for extra flair.
Also I made this flag for me because I’m Idemiromantic (Idemihetero) but decided to share so 1) the explain is out there and 2) because it’s a cool flag and I wanted people to be able to use it. So yeah! As I said this is totally okay to use for any reason! Both the label and the flag. I mean the label isn’t that unique it’s just smushing two labels together to be a bit less of a mouthful hlkjhrgde
And the term name isn’t that special of a story I was like “Well Idem- and Demi- romantic both have Dem so just smoosh them together to make Idemiromantic” so jefhlejg
