Might delete later because I don’t like people seeing my hands… but looking to find out what creature this skull I found is (it’s been cleaned via soaking with dish soap for weeks and set out in the sun to dry)
I thought it was a cat at first but now I think it may be a raccoon because of how big the space is for the jaw muscles and the ridge on the top.
I found it pretty much the way it looks except some brown stuff I’ve mostly been able to get off via the soaking. It looks like it’s been chewed on (maybe by a squirrel based on the grooves) you can see on the back of the head there’s a part that’s almost got a hole on it.
I assume where I found it the creature brought it to feel safer to chewing on it because it was in a weird spot and I didn’t find the rest of the body.
