SOCIAL DISTANCING DAY 443. What excitement. Such an event. So festive! Shred Day! Big highway signs out of proportion to the county fairgrounds where they were placed to make sure we shredders knew about the changes, the new entrance over by Subway instead of the usual location by the no-kill animal shelter (also in a new location). In the past the line has backed up so far down 16th I could not see its end, everyone in the county anxious to have their documents confetti-ized for free. I’ve been turned away on past Shred Days because the trucks got full before the scheduled end time. So this morning I arrived early and sat in line about 20 cars back—vest-wearing helpers waving me along at every turn. I had time to sit and think how this carnivalesque morning at the 4-H fairgrounds was brought to us by thieves and crooks who would steal our identities out of the trash if we didn’t grind up the junk mail with our addresses. Thanks, thieves, for a pleasant morning! I guess. #shredday #festivalatmosphere #identitythieves #nottoday #quarantinelife cc: @hamiltoncountyin @hamiltoncountyhappenings (at Noblesville, Indiana) https://www.instagram.com/p/CPw7LliL22Q/?utm_medium=tumblr
