Uzun bir süredir Intel’in yeni bir depolama teknolojisi üzerinde çalıştığı biliniyordu. Micron ortaklığıyla geliştirildiği iddia edilen yeni teknoloji, söylentilere göre 3D XPoint standardını temel alacaktı. Intel’in yeni işlemcisini taşıyan bilgisayarları sesle uyandırabilirsiniz

Intel ’in yepyeni Skylake işlemcilerinin biraz ürpertici bir özelliği var, o da sizi sürekli dinliyor olması.

Her ne kadar Türkiye ’deki sistemlerde mümkün olmasa da, yeni nesil işlemcilerden birini taşıyan bir Windows 10 makinesinde “Hey Cortana” veya “Cortana, uyan” diye seslenen kullanıcıların sesleri yonga içine gizlenen dijital işaret işlemcisi tarafından alınarak PC ’nin düşük güç tüketim durumundan uyandırılması için kullanılacak. Bilgisayar uyandıktan sonra Cortana kontrolü ele alacak ve müzik veya video oynatmanın da aralarında bulunduğu sesli komutları yerine getirecek.

Şirket bu yeni işlevi San Francisco ’da düzenlenen Intel Geliştirici Forumunda duyurdu. Benzer bir seçenek Microsoft ’un Xbox One oyun konsolu ve Motorola ’nın Moto X akıllı telefonunda da bulunuyor, ancak bu cihazlar da dahil olmak olmak üzere, işin büyüsü ortadan kalktıktan sonra bir cihazı odanın herhangi bir köşesinden seslenmek yerine elle açmak çok daha kolay gelecektir.

Intel sürekli dinleme modunda güç tüketiminin ne seviyede olacağı veya bekleme süresinde ne kadar kısalmanın söz konusu olabileceği hakkında bir bilgi vermedi. Aslında Intel sesle etkinleştirme özelliğinin geçen yılın Core M işlemcileriyle de teknik olarak mümkün olduğunu söyledi, ancak Windows 10 ve onun Cortana entegrasyonu ile birlikte PC ’ler bu özelliğin avantajından yararlanma fırsatı bulunuyor.

IDF 2015: showed a prototype smartphone with camera Intel RealSense
