WIP guessing game: twist

This is hilarious.

Patrick backstory WIP:

David’s face twisted.

This says to me I should possibly stop using that word to describe David’s face, except. What ELSE are you going to say when he does these things

Did Ebisu ever learn that Shikako was one responsible for Team Konohamaru's Replacement Tag craze? If yes, does it has any effect on his willingness or approach to participating in her current overhaul-the-whole-village's-training-system spinoff project? As you wrote it, Ebisu's focused enthusiasm in concert with Iruka has all the escalating momentum of a river breaking through an ancient, immovable dam (or Damn Yuuhi, heh), but I do love all Shikako's little training exercises, their 2nd lives

I imagine Konohamaru would have been pretty likely to spill the beans on that one! Especially if he was asking Ebisu to referee any matches between the teams. It probably did have a bit to do with how quickly be got on board with the whole program, though I imagine he would have been just as interested if anyone had proposed the same thing.

Team Nerd is surprisingly charming and I like how they all get along and complement each other. XD

out of curiosity, is your url intended to be a sindarin word? It probably sounds strange, but the translation “idhren” instead of the similar “golwen” is a word that’s oddly sentimental to me, so seeing your url was a pleasant surprise, really

Yes, yes it is! Wee teenage me loved the idea of ‘thoughtful, wise’ as the significance of my chosen pseudonym. 

The pronunciation does tend to sorely puzzle people, though.

Thank you, as always, for the gift of the last two chapters. I really like Akado as a new character (and I'm SO CURIOUS re: went down in that meeting with 'Yuuhi freaking Shinku' and what Akado thought of it). Did Yuuhi approve those bits of Ebisu's suggestions that got adapted or did Akado just...quietly make it happen? Akado's such an outsider - literally doesn't know how to get around the Tower (or req. a typewriter) - but gets swept up as a planning insider. And that scroll! Reactions 2 use?

It’s been really fun to start looking at characters that aren’t part of the high powered genin->chunin->jounin(-> hokage) track that a lot of our main characters are on and that we see as ‘typical’ for a shinobi, even though they’re probably in the minority. Akado was fun to bring in as someone very non-combat (though obviously with plenty of his own skills and abilities) and @wafflelate, @pepperdoken and @math-is-magic have been doing some great world-building for Yuuhi Shinku.
