Eleventh Week: Mid-Term Test
Okay... Okay, I got this... Just take a deep breath, pray, and hope that nothing really bad will happen during the test. I was already nervous since I left from home. I regret that I use to not really care about EL because I had the feeling that I already mastered it.
Then, I realized that it is not just about grammar, spelling and pronunciation. There’s actually more things that we need to know. Things to remember... Yeah memories, that is what education is all about. It’s only like a few logics required. Let’s say, math, you can’t do it if you don’t know how it’s done, in Physics you need to remember formulas, and in religion and citizenship, you need to get the logic to make sense by giving proves.
Back to the story, as I arrived at school, I quickly rushed through the hallways, running up the stairs, and found out that the hallway is flooded with students studying, as always, making it hard for people to pass. I quickly sat down and open my laptop to re-learn. Already know this is not worth it, I still won’t learn anything anyway. One of the invigilators blew the whistle. It’s time to enter the class. As you would know, the students don’t just sit when they got inside the classroom. They have to prepare things like stationary items, Pencils that are not sharpened, and things to borrow. Also, they still ask each other about the materials just to make sure they didn’t forget. common things that always happen in mid-term test. Everyone is busy. I filled out my scan tron answer sheet.
The starting indicator was triggered. I was a little nervous when I read the first problems. Well, I used my “common-sense” to answer the questions. For the multiple choices of course, I randomized it. Well some of it was logic and the rest, you have to study about it. Next there is a fill in the blank, I also randomized, but thank god, I got most of it correct. There is an essay that tells you to write about a speech. I managed to fill in the whole thing, fortunately, but not the very last essay that tells you to write what you’ve learned through this first half of the term. Just right before I write something there, the indicator that warns the student that is five minutes left was triggered. I thought to myself that I was not gonna finish this test, and that’s when “test was over” indicator was triggered.
Well, I finally learned that you must not under estimate anything and one other thing... DO. NOT. PROCRASTINATE. It is a very common mindset of people these days.
