hi, first off i love this blog & i have honestly learned so much from you. second, i'm wondering if you know of any kind of service/app/website/anything that you can take like a questionnaire-type thing to match a person with a dog? like physical demands, disabilities, location etc. not like for a service dog, but for a companion? i want to get a dog because chronic mental illness problems cause being alone to be Very Bad & i love dogs. thank you in advance & thank you for being amazing!

What you’re looking for would probably be specific to shelters and rescues, more than a single thing you’d find online. I’d suggest looking at your local shelters’ social media pages and seeing if they have postings about dog personalities, or if they have any sort of matchmaking program. You can also call rescues in the area and talk to them about if they have any dogs that they think would be a good fit for you.
