Don't you just love technology?
Yesterday, we got a bunch of pieces in the mail for my dad's new computer because his is a heap of scrap right now. I went to go put it together only to find that the motherboard arrived dead. I even tested it by plugging my power supply into it, so we have to mail it back and get a new one, which is poop. But I should learn to never take apart my computer for anything because I always seem to break it somehow.
I spent hours last night and this morning agonizing over my PC (who's name is Mittens, btw) because my graphics card wasn't displaying on my monitor. The same thing happened to me before and I had to do all sorts of messing with it to fix it, like plugging my SSD into my dad's computer so I could re-install the drivers.
I'd been messing with this thing all morning and decided to do an idiot check and unplug the GPU and plug it back in again. Long story short, I'm clearly an idiot and my computer now works.
