Zuko’s gaze locked on the harbormaster whose calm, clipped responses did little to soothe the heat rising in the prince’s chest. “Do you understand what you’re saying?” Zuko’s voice carried over the sounds of the busy dock. “My ship was damaged and you tell me that there’s nothing you can do?”
The harbormaster shifted uncomfortably under the intensity of Zuko’s stare. “Highness, I—”
“Bring the captain of the Thousand Sunny here,” Zuko interrupted, taking a deliberate step forward. His fingers curled around the edge of the railing, knuckles white. “I want him here. I want to hold him accountable for his reckless docking. If your records are as thorough as you claim, then you can’t tell me you don’t know who he is.” A low murmur began to stir as sailors paused to watch the confrontation.
Zuko’s jaw tightened. “I'm not asking,” he said, his voice carrying a dangerous edge. “I am demanding.”
