Omfg guys I finally FINALLY had a revelation about Imperfect and realized why I'm stuck so hard (well, a big reason, as there are mulitple things to get stuck on in this fucking chapter). If yr caught up on reading it and are wondering what I'm on about, I'll put it in a readmore. Big huge plot spoil warning for those who haven't btw (and a few words about where I'm planning to take things, just for the upcoming chapter)

So remember how Mayuri is all pissed off at Unohana for not helping him during Urahara's captaincy? Like she saw he was all beaten up and he thinks she turned a blind eye? Yah sooooo I wrote that plot point on a complete fucking whim, cuz my mind was wandering over the subject of physical exams and how things might’ve unfolded. I didn't have a resolution for it nor any ideas on how to handle it, i was just like 'this is a thing now:D' and wrote it in.

Fast forward to later chapters and we now have Unohana responsible for a bigger and more important bad thing she's about to confess to (finding him pre maggots nest and uhh slapping him n shit), yet there's this random fucking Other Thing that's come to a head and I can't figure out how to deal with it without minimizing them both or, at the very least, have Mayuri walk away still fuming mad at her. And he's not supposed to do that (plot spoil ig:p) he's supposed to remember his past and see Unohana’s role in it as fairly trivial. Like maybe not say 'oh it's fine, I'd slap me too' but at least digress that it was a very human mistake, and an old one at that. And then there's a rainbow and birds chirping and they walk out holding hands or some shit (kidding I am kidding)

Anyway. I can't have him do any of that with this other grudge at the forefront. So u know what that means? Big fucking.. stupid pain in the ass overhaul (it's not THAT big, just some segments in two of the chapters iirc). But hey, it's better than this stupid fucking 'ough but maybe I can work around it THIS way' mobius strip I've been stuck in for the past.. Almost A Fucking Year
