Hey love! I have a question about your witch mercy Cosplay. How did you make her little jacket thing? I'm Cosplay as her for com con and I can figure out that part most cause I'm not a great sewer. Get back to me when you can! Thanks!

I made a modified bolero/sweater like this one!

I just added a collar, longer sleeves, and removed most of the back panel to accommodate for my wings. I literally made this the day before Halloween so I just cut out sections of my fabric in a generic bolero shape and pinned them to my dress form then drew the shape of the jacket on with chalk. Then I just cut it out and sewed the pieces together. 

As for the sleeves I drew out the design of the face on paper until I was happy, then transferred it over to my fabric. The yellow part was shaped like a massive tear drop, was then gradient dyed and sewn under the main piece of the sleeve. 

I Frankensteined this thing together I’m sorry. But if enough people are interested I might get off my ass and make a series of tutorials for this costume since I keep all my patterns and WIP shots!

Never mind the fact that I could never purchase jeans with pockets that deep. Never mind the fact that my pockets are nothing but minuscule swatches of fabric. I’m not bitter. I am, however, judging you harshly. Tuck in your pockets like a gentleman. And pull up your pants. This is getting ridiculous.

I'm posting this so everyone can see this answer:

You don't ever have to have your character doing what the real celeb is doing. There's many times that Taylor Swift is in NYC lately and Katy Perry has been traveling the world but I've been keeping my Taylor and Katy at home with their families. If other people are involved though (like the other members of 1D) make sure you talk to the other player(s) and you all agree to cancel the show. You can't post that it was cancelled and then some other band member post that they're about to perform.
