On International Day of #People with #Disability, please note some disabilities are invisible
Happy International Day of People with Disabilities! ♿ Basically it's a day to celebrate me 😜 I kid I kid! But seriously today is really important and a day to share, support and uplift disabled creators, & show appreciation for disabled family & friends. If there was one thing that was made very clear this year, is how important accessibility is for EVERYONE. The ability to work from home and have access to food, shops, bathrooms, public spaces etc, has been something everyone has suddenly been made very aware of what is actually capable, something we've known & been asking for our entire lives! Things we need to ensure stay in place for the people who still need them when things "go back to normal" for the average abled person. I want today to be a celebration, not a negative day, but we definitely still do have a long way to go to get disability & ableism taken seriously & equally. Tell me something positive about disability/access that you have learned ♡ _____________________________ #IDPWD #IDPWD2020 #IDPWD20 #DisabledPerson #InternationalDayOfPeopleWithDisabilities #Disabled #Disability #wheelchairuser #DisabledSelfie #IdentityFirst #Ableism #AbledsAreWeird #cuteselfie #DisabledAndCute #hereiam #TheMiltonMaizeMaze #thisisme #equality #respectme (at The Milton Maize Maze) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIVECXMH6D7/?igshid=1wjd9wnznvjur
