Income Driven Repayment plan applications (including recertification if you were already on one like me) have been canceled.
I highly recommend you apply for deferment as soon as possible.

if you haven’t checked your federal student loans in awhile please do!!! even if you’ve already applied for a plan, are still in school, or are already making payments!!! they may have changed something on you, even if you were already making payments. the SAVE plan is in automatic forebearance right now, and if you were applying for the SAVE plan online, they won’t take it - they’re only taking PDF copies of ANY IDR plan right now!!! you’ll have to upload that directly to your services website this was last updated on 8/30/24, but stay vigilant!! the link to the PDF is right here: https://studentaid.gov/announcements-events/save-court-actions
