Going on Hiatus

Hey all, Bing here.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I think this is the right step to take at the moment. When I started this blog in 2011, there were scarce sources for MOC, gender nonconforming people, or women who enjoyed menswear. Now I know you have so many options to choose from and that delights me. I Dream of Dapper was a labor of passion and I truly loved growing into my own identity with all of you. Recently I’ve slowly stepped away due to personal and career responsibilities. My posts have become less personal, my contributions more distant. I love you all and see your value but I’m not doing the best I can for you at this moment. 

I will not be deleting the blog. I’m leaving it here for us all. I know I’ll miss it. 

Who knows, maybe I’ll figure out how to make this blog what it used to be or maybe something more. Until then, thank you all so much for your support. This blog has led to so many wonderful experiences and opportunities. Most importantly, it’s introduced me to so many wonderful human beings. I’m so proud of you all. You are making this planet a better place to be each and every day.

If you’ve been running the same blog for the last 6+ years you forget to do stuff like update “About” pages. So it has been updated and I’m very happy to be able to say new things.

Sometimes I can’t help but miss doing 50 Days of Dapper.

Bow tie from Bindle & Keep, the talented tailors featured in the @HBODocs Film, ’SUITED’ produced by Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner. The film spotlights the intimate journey of coming into a new identity, accepting difference and living bravely in one’s own skin.  SUITED premieres TONIGHT Monday, June 20, at 9P on @HBO.

Check out my limited edition bow tie from Bindle & Keep, the talented tailors featured in the @HBODocs Film, ’SUITED’ produced by Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner.  SUITED tells the story of Bindle & Keep, a Brooklyn tailoring company that makes custom suits for gender-nonconforming and transgender clients, following a range of people on the gender spectrum.
