if sega wants to remake any game it should be Sonic 06. Silver deserves better tbh.

It must be stated that Silver does not have an arc about overcoming isolation and becoming less aggressive like people rationalize for Uwuver in IDW. Silver wasn’t alone in the bad future of 06 and after 06 Silver has lived in a perfectly fine good future for a very long time by Forces/IDW. That was a mistake Ian made because he thought that Silver was still living in the bad future from 06. Silver was never alone in the future and he’s not written as “adjusting” at all.

Silver’s aggression doesn’t come from him being “isolated”. It comes from him being emotionally unregulated. When they say that Silver is immature it doesn’t mean that he’s a helpless baby, it means that he’s juvenile(which is why he’s rude) and lacks restraint. He did have to fight through a hostile environment for most of his life but the comics don’t treat Silver like someone from a harsh environment at all, that aspect of his backstory has never even been acknowledged. The comics have never thought of him as a rude or aggressive character because they think that the polite Archie Silver is what he is supposed to be. Uwuver being as clumsy, stupid and incompetent as he is would never survive an apocalyptic hellscape, he can’t even survive in the safe modern world without somebody to hold his hand for him.

Ian has always written Silver as an uber polite “trying his best cinnamon roll” character going back to his first appearance in Archie in 2008. Ian genuinely thinks Game Silver has always been like this which shows that he has never played the Rivals games as well as his general terrible research with Silver for over 16 years now.
