“On Oct. 23, teachers and 24 students from National Shanhua Senior High, Tainan, Taiwan, joined hands with 7 American students, who came to Taiwan for the 9-month NSLI-Youth program, to make a difference.
Introduced by iEARN Taiwan (台灣國際教育資源網學會), these passionate volunteers paid their first visit to the branch of Andrew Food Bank (https://www.chaca.org.tw/) in Kaohsiung. For the whole afternoon, they offered their helping hands by sorting and packing donated food from all over the country. With their efforts, lives of some kids from poor families became different because these kids would not suffer from hunger in the coming month. At the end, they even showed their support to "Zero Hunger," one of the Sustainable Development Goals, which the United Nations set to be accomplished by 2030, by signing their names on the board. All of them, despite the difference of nationality and color, shared one belief: differences can be made as long as you take action!”
