Huh? Stage bij Chinezen?

Telkens wanneer iemand me vraagt waar ik stage ga lopen, antwoord ik: “Bij De Chinezen.” Meestal volgt er dan een vragende blik. De komende acht weken loop ik stage bij De Chinezen. Ik stel het bedrijf graag even voor.

De Chinezen is een jong productiehuis, opgericht door drie ex-woestijnvissers, namelijk Elke Neuville, Arnout Hauben en Mikhael Cops. Sinds 2013 ondersteunt de VRT jonge, talentvolle productiehuizen en neemt het een minderheidsparticipatie van 10% in bij De Chinezen.

Het televisiebedrijf levert voornamelijk programma’s aan de VRT. Met enkele vaste rubrieken in Iedereen Beroemd, programma’s zoals Manneken Pis, People of Tomorrow en De Quiz van het jaar is het aanwezig in het medialandschap. Momenteel loopt hun programma Afspraak in Rio (persoonlijk is dit absoluut mijn favoriet!) al enkele weken op één.

Three weeks to go! - Shoutout to Vlaamse Scriptieprijs

Alriiight!

Iedereen Beroemd DID give a boost for my crowdfunding campaign. We're at week three and we've already collected 40% of the crowdfunding goal.

Vlaamse Scriptieprijs contributed 500 EUR today! For this contribution they will get an EPIC Sheila.

I met up with the camera crew of Iedereen Beroemd today. They're going to broadcast next week. I'll make sure to let you know the exact date. :-) Here are a few shots.

I'm all packed to go to Münster tomorrow. Playing at a sold out TEDx on Friday the 24th of May! Also busking project Street Sounds is going to film me during my stay in Münster. Busy busy!

Tomorrow is THE day!

I'm starting to feel really nervous for my campaign launch, sooo nervous. Sending press releases, first thing tomorrow morning. I just got a phone call from the "Iedereen Beroemd" TV show. They are interested in my crowdfunding campaign and they want to follow me around this week. This will certainly help spreading the word.

Did I mention this campaign is not only for my own musical project? It's also for my thesis (yes, I'm still in college). I study communication management and I want to find out how effective crowdfunding is for (Belgian) artists. I've been reading several books, I have interviewed artists and experts. And to finish it all off: My own crowdfunding campaign.

All the more reason to do this right!

Nervous! But it will work out.
