Hello!! I'm almost new in the Aikatsu comunity because I started watching AiFriends andI got interested in it and as you know I'm so insterested in the Arcade games soo could you explain me a bit about how is your character ranked, coord rarities and some basic things?? Or if you have a faq could you pass me it please??
I don’t have a FAQ for Aikatsu, and probably never will because this is a pretty shit Aikatsu blog…. ahah… hah I don’t pay attention to news and updates that much, and I’m always falling in and out of love with the series itself as a whole.
For a proper Aikatsu blog I recommend following @millepara for a 1000% better Aikatsu experience.
But anyway I have some time so I will explain a thing.
Aikatsu overall is a much simpler and streamlined system compared to the Pri-Series. For the first five seasons there were only three basic rarities:
N (Normal), R (Rare), PR (Premium Rare)
But something really nice Aikatsu has always done that I liked is that sometimes they’ll do an overall theme for all the PRs. Like in season 2 of the original series it was constellations, then in season 3 it was fairy tales….
Then in the second season of Aikatsu Stars they finally mixed things up by introducing SPRs, which were planet-themed dresses with wings you had to earn that scored higher than PRs (at the time, not now).
Nowadays in Friends we have Friend Rares and Best Friend Rares which are dresses intended to be used in 2-person “Friends” units and trigger special unit appeals. Currently in the Friends era you can get the highest scores with BFRs and a partner character you have a high ranking with. (Slightly more on that below.)
Also appeals in Aikatsu are pretty much just called…. “appeals”….. (Well there is this appeal and that appeal but the point is there are no weird things like Making Dramas or Prism Acts, it’s been more or less 7 seasons of the same thing.)
Ranking in Aikatsu is kinda just numbers that don’t really mean anything. Right now in Aikatsu Friends you have an overall rank (goes up to 100 I believe) and stats for Cute, Cool, Pop, and Sexy (the four main and only types) which increase depending on what songs you play and such, but all it does is unlock different character parts. In Friends however there is a ranking BETWEEN characters, which is pretty neat, because I think it actually does increase your score when you are in a Friends unit with that character. You increase it just by using the same two characters together in a Friends unit a lot.
