Pomni blind box results thus far! The top two I found at Newbury Comics and the bottom two came from Glitch just a few days after I found the top two. (They were ordered back at the beginning of June.)

Posessed and Evil were the only two I didn't want so of course I got stuck with them. Evil has grown on me a bit. Posessed no. Noir is cool I guess. And at least I got the classic XDDCC.

I want to buy more if I see them in stores but the super rare I want the most is the unicorn one, but that's a Glitch exclusive and I'm not paying $40 shipping to wait several months and get another Possessed. I've heard you can get the unicorn ones from Hot Topic but I have yet to see a single Pendantz blind box at any of my local Hot Topic shops uguugu.

Cosplayed Megan Williams from the 1980s My Little Pony cartoon to a retro convention thinking it was a deep cut, but it might actually have been my most recognized cosplay yet so far?

Onegai AiPri 15

Every episode of Onegai Aipri be like:

Random NPC makes a wish.

The wish granting squad runs in to spy on them and get up in their business.

Someone performs.

The random NPC watches the performance and suddenly decides to solve their problem on their own.

But then we have Nana coming in and actually giving them a tangible solution. The anime is definitely framing this as Nana being in the wrong. But like... is she?

Because the wish granting squad isn't actually granting wishes at all. Technically. It's more like they're just making people realize their problems weren't as bad as they thought.

But I guess not everyone in the real world can be lucky enough to have Nana appear with a wagonload of watermelons. Huh. I guess this show is more realistic than I thought.

As I'm typing this Link Like Love Live shuts down in a few hours. I made a video for posterity of me using up all my Sisca and clicking around the app.

It took me a while to really get into this game, but it was very special to me and I don't know if we'll ever have anything quite like it again.

And yes, a brand new King of Prism movie was announced today and I basically have nothing to say about it.

My first impression of this trailer was how much it pissed me off that the only new visual is that art of Minato, Kakeru, and Yukinojo. I mean they reused animation of Shin from the first movie in this. Good lord.

(That being said I will watch this whenever I can and I will love it. I'm just not up on the lore anymore.)

Discovered something brand new about myself today:

Apparently I might really like horror movies?

To back up a bit, starting with TADC I've now picked up one of my old pre-COVID Japan hobbies of just going to movies by myself whenever I feel like it. Seeing movies alone in the states feels a lot more awkward than in Japan for some reason, but I think I'm over it now.

I saw TADC episode 9 in the theaters four times (three by myself), then the next week I saw Toy Story 5, then this week I saw the Backrooms.

I really had no idea how I was going to react to the Backrooms, but after all the positive reviews I got super curious. I have basically always been a person who never watches horror movies because I always assumed I wouldn't like them on account of how I will jump 10 feet in the air when someone gently says my name or lightly touches my shoulder.

But it turns out that's neither here nor there because I wasn't scared at all. I actually found it FASCINATING. Whenever things were happening I always found myself wishing I could pause the screen just to look at all the cool stuff in the background. I even laughed a few times. (Is that scary in itself?)

I guess real life is just scarier than fiction. Which is such a cliché thing to say but it is very true, no?

And now I'm kinda wondering what other great movies I might have missed out on. I want to ask for recommendations based on Backrooms, but I get the feeling it probably has a rather unique vibe to it, no?

Went on a platonic pride date today and can't help but share the stuff I came home with because IDK if I have ever taken a picture that better represents me.

I think this was technically my first pride ever? I feel like I've been adjacent to pride events before but I think this was the first time I ever intentionally dressed up and went to one.

But even knowing what flag I am is somewhat of a recent life development for me (not counting all the years I was in denial about it). I'm actually panromantic graysexual, but even so, looking across the table and reaching to pick up the ace flag was a pretty big moment for me.

And I brought Jax because of course I did. My first pride and hers too 😭

And there were legit at least two other people who also brought their Jax plush with them to pride too I swear I'm not even lying. One of them belonged to a kid and was covered with trans pride stickers AHHHHHH

I finally caved and bought a whole bunch of things from the Glitch store and got exactly zero shipping notifications nor tracking numbers but look who was on my door stop this morning.

She matches well with the Lil'Fellas Pomni I think. Funny thing I actually prefer the Jax plushies where she looks miserable because at least it's something that's REAL.

As for Pomni tho, I really don't like how many plushies they make of her looking sad or scared. I don't want that. I want Pomni with A GUN.

I accept that she looks sad next to Jax tho....

I also unfortunately also got these.

No idea when I'll get around to opening them because I bought them before actually clearing a place to display them.

I resisted buying anything from the Glitch site for so long, and here I am regretting I didn't buy sooner so I could have had more things to enjoy and bring to events while the show was still running. I have a lot of various regrets Re: TADC right now. One of them being the fact that this show didn't start snowballing into one of my most intense special interests until after episode 6, which was less than a year ago! And now it's over. And what now. I don't wanna go...........

Y'all The Amazing Digital Circus, and particularly the finale, ruined my life.

I haven't felt this way about a piece of media since King of Prism SSS Part 4 was in theaters. Nah this is completely different and actually may be way worse. Who knew a silly circus cartoon would make me want to apologize to people who cut off contact with me 20 years ago when I was a terrible person because I didn't like or understand myself because I didn't have the words to express how I felt. Who knew I'd end up relating so much to that funny cartoon rabbit.................

It's making me consider coming back to Tumblr full-time because it's my only social media where my algorithm isn't completely ruined by Funnybunny and alternate ending comics and it's killing me but I can't stop.

It's ironic because I switched to Instagram as a healthier alternative, as partially thanks to Instagram I have actual IRL friends that I do actual IRL idol activities with, something that once seemed impossible. But I do miss it here in a strange way.

It's been a while but I ought to explain the background of why I asked this in the first place.

I was looking around for dresses that would match my idolsona vibe and this one was basically perfect. But then I realized it was technically a cosplay dress. But I don't really know anything about Monster High so I didn't know if it would be recognizable out of context.

So I asked on Instagram and got completely opposite responses. (Basically everyone said either, "Oh totally I'd know it anywhere" or "Nope never seen it in my life" and nothing in between.)

It was then I realized I'd sorta ruined it by mentioning Monster High before asking. So I asked here.

And the Monster High crew won out. Oh well. I'm still wondering if I could add some stars or trim or something to modify it. I really like it!

I think they're copying AiPri but with a newer/better machine.

Well, not necessarily because they do also have the traditional three button Aikatsu setup, but. If this game has a card swipe function too I would not be surprised.
