one of my favourite things about lord of the rings is Frodo and sam's relationship and I think it could so easily be emulated with rocky and grace from phm.

they're not necessarily lovers, but have such an intense adoration for one another and would go the ends of the earth (and beyond!), but unlike sam and Frodo, they actually get to stay together
