For the final day of the @ifimade instagram challenge, I am posting the last arrangement I laid hands to. I am from Vancouver; where winter is a short, rainy joke, and by early march you are clipping magnolia, plum, and cherry blossoms. But this winter is different. This is the first winter, in my whole life, that I have seen snow past December. That I've seen snow stick around for more than a day! It's jarring and although I've always loved snow, I feel it's starting to cramp my floral styles. So, this is a mid-winter palette, one I am very unfamiliar with, but I am practising it thoroughly while it gives me the chance. The materials here are foraged pussy willows, heather, and local (greenhouse) tulips.
