Film: A League of Their Own (1992)

Featuring: Tom Hanks,  Geena Davis,  Lori Petty

I found a rare thing, a film about women, playing sports, directed by a woman. It's an inspirational sports film where the players don’t have penises. Women with hope, dreams, and aspirations. Women who go forth and live them.  Legend has it that the actors did as many of their own stunts as possible. If you can’ t already tell, I love this film and have major league respect for it.

Geena Davis is perfect as Dottie Hinson. I’m always drawn to her when she's on the screen.

I love the music. I’m a swing dance nerd so this stuff is right up my alley.  The acting is great, writing is snappy, editing clever, framing and camera work smooth as a baby’s bottom. What more could you want in a film?
