I wasn't originally going to post this, but I had a lot of fun writing it so I figured why not c:
A while back @kbthebearcat and I created an Iron Giant AU for our story featuring Cricket and Donald, and at the start of this year I was inspired to write a piece that explored their first official meeting. The AU has many similarities to the source material but we've really made it our own as well, which was the main motivation behind this written piece. I tried not to worry too much about the quality and just focused on having fun so don't expect anything life changing! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy ^^

i don't think y'all understand how much i love the social media au's
like at the end of a long day of being a mom and nanny and my spouse working hard at her job, we put our son to bed and crawl into ours and i flip thru tweets and read them to her and listen to her laugh and laugh and laugh ab these characters she's just now meeting and getting to know, and i keep reading aloud until she gets sleepy. then i bookmark where we're at and we go from there the next day.
