Hey there! What did you think of the trailer for the new Tarzan movie?
When I first heard about this new Tarzan I wasn’t too sure how I’d feel about it (still cringing from that last Tarzan movie…), although I knew I’d probably see it anyway. But now that I’ve seen the trailer, OMG I’M SO EXCITED FOR IT!!!!!
The problem with live action Tarzan movies/shows is that it always comes across as people-in-monkey-suits corny. This one seems to be pretty close to breaking that curse. And now they finally have the technology to do justice to E.R.B.’s vision (without killing the actor!) Although they’re pretty quick in the trailer, the shots of him moving through the jungle look amazing! (as does the jungle) I also love what they’ve done with his yell… as much as I love the trademark yodel, this is more how I imagined it when reading the books. I’m very interested to see how they go about his interactions with the apes/gorillas in this.
Also very excited about having an ‘educated" Tarzan who has been outside his jungle and lived among humans. That’s not something that is done very often.
How about you?
igavethatbitchapuzzle replied to your post “Important Note: Please remember that, according to the attraction...”
That's so interesting but also a little confusing, if you do find the post please let me know! I identify as grey-ace but the definition of attraction is still so messy in my head!
Will do! I really wish I’d reblogged it now when I first saw it.
The definition of attraction is totally a mess, isn’t it. And I’m honestly not sure we’ll ever get a clear-cut, unambiguous definition that works for everyone, just because there probably isn’t a clear-cut, unambiguous line between ‘attracted’ and ‘not-attracted’. Literally all we have is a bunch of people going ‘yep, I definitely experience that but heck if I know how to describe it’, a bunch going ‘there seems to be something everyone else is experiencing that’s driving all these relationships that I don’t feel, but heck if I can describe what it is’, and then a bunch of people off to the side going ‘I honestly have no idea what’s going on here.’ I suspect that’s one of the main reasons both the ace and aro communities have championed the ‘identities are a tool’ philosophy so much.
Now! While I cannot find that one post, I do have some other links you may or may not be interested in so I’m gonna just drop them here because I can, and because I like dropping links.
This is a large-ish masterpost of stuff on gray-asexuality (and gray-romanticism) that went around sometime last year (it’s also got a couple of posts that touch on the imaginary divide between ‘a-’ and ‘allo-’).
Ambiguous and Heading Nowhere talks a bit about the history of the term and the gray-A author’s experience with it.
Shared Experiences, Different Words is by another gray-A about their choice of identity
This is an attempt to use data from the 2014 AVEN census to look at how different orientations experience attraction, which has some cool graphs that I think highlight the fuzziness of the line between asexual and non-asexual.
Hi! It would be a problem if you could tag your Game of Thrones posts? I always wait a while to watch it, so if you could tag them (with anything other than #got cause this one is a pain to block) I can successfully block them for now, thanks!
SORRY! Will do!
PS DAMN I meant to send this privately sorry!!

I wish you good luck in whatever you’re going through right now
Thank you. Take care. Best of luck to you, too.
"edmund is pretty awful" *enthusiasticly agrees*
YESSS. He is truly awful. I know in the movie version he’s played by Jonny Lee ‘cutie-pie’ Miller but that version changed a lot anyway, so it’s okay to like him but in every other version (including the book) he’s pretty dreadful.
One of my favorite youtubers Ron Lit has an entire video dedicated to why Edmund Bertram is awful! I highly recommend it. I also recommend her other videos, particularly the ones on Austen.
I'M SO EXCITED FOR THE ONE NIGHT LIVE EVENT TOO!!!! *hugs you*
AHH IF ONLY I LIVED THERE! Hey but its awesome that theyre doing it! It reminds me of seeing a WTNV performance live! Its so odd how big of a story phenomenon The Last of Us became, with the PS4 remake and the Movie and stuff like that, people are trying to get the most out of it!! I hope they dont stretch it out for TOO long (like with what Persona 4 did, even though I love that game)
Hello! I'm currently catching up with the second season of POI and ended up here desperately looking for the decoded blue screens (and the red one) from the In Extremis episode. Do you know if someone else managed to decipher them? Additionally thank you so much for your contributions to the wiki in that section, my watching experience wouldn't be the same without those easter eggs!
Hi! I never worked them out and as far as I know, no one else has either. Looking at the wikia there’s nothing there. It’s a shame because I’d really like to know what’s in the last few too!
Maybe one day I’ll have another crack at them when I don’t mind eternal frustration and literally dreaming of numbers & letters, but I spent forever on those last ones and just couldn’t crack them. I know most of my method was pretty ad-hoc winging it trying various different options, rather than anything mathematical, so truth is I probably missed something. Have you given it a go? I think I put my methodology on each wikia page. Thank you! It was fun!
