First Annual IGDA Summit

The IGDA held its first Annual Summit in Seattle July 17-18 of last month. Speakers presented on Entrepreneurship, Quality Assurance, Localization and Writing topics. The event was co-produced with the Casual Games Association. Notable highlights included keynotes by FASA Studio founder Jordan Weisman and Game Industry Analyst Michael Pachter. The Event concluded with an amazing presentation by Actor/Producer Levar Burton  on What it takes to Create and Manage Entertainment. ZeeGee Games CEO Dustin Clingman was in attendance for the event and had this to say: “This IGDA Summit represent years of the Membership’s desire to have it’s own tribal event to attend. Other conferences are amazing with their content, but they have a very wide audience. Here at the IGDA Summit, the agenda is what’s pressing and of immediate import to the members and only the members.”
