@wearetravelgirls The trips that changed me in 2019: #3 ⠀ A phone call in April changed my life. Becky from @wearetravelgirls, where I’ve been an ambassador for the past two years called me to tell me she had torn her ACL, and asked if I could step in and help her co-host the @travelgirlsgetaway to Morocco. It took me about ten seconds to say YES, and two weeks later I was flying to Marrakech for the first time. ⠀ I spent the next ten days riding camels through the Sahara, visiting the Mosque in Casablanca, walking the periwinkle streets of Chefchaouen, and wandering through the Majorelle Garden. I absolutely fell in LOVE with Morocco - the colors, the culture, the people, the history, the tagine, the medina. And…. they speak French! ⠀ I also got to travel with the most amazing group of women. I had never traveled like that before - I was used to traveling solo, or with just one other person and to be honest I was a little worried about the difference of a group dynamic. But I have never had so much fun on a trip. We felt like old friends after about two days, we laughed ALL the time, shared stories, watched the GoT finale huddled over an iPad on a bus, had a little too much rose, stayed up too late talking, and became a true little group of friends. I still keep in touch with everyone, and it’s amazing to now have some friends from different places around the world, and some from New York City. It taught me that I love retreats, and that traveling with a group of girls is a guaranteed good time! So in 2020, I’m excited to announce I’m going to be doing a few more! I hope you’ll be there to travel with me. ⠀ #bestof2019 #igersmorroco #travelgirlsgetawaysmorocco #riadmarrakech #medinamarrakech #acolorstory #adventurewithRD #beautifulhotels #TLpicks #traveldeeper #wheretofindme #simplymorocco #visitmorocco🇲🇦 (at Marrakech) https://www.instagram.com/p/B63dXuyJw9k/?igshid=1d8bwyclm5vno
