The Ladd Observatory on Doyle Avenue, #Providence Rhode Island. . . Dedicated in 1891, the Ladd #Observatory serves the #astronomical needs of Brown University. A young #Lovecraft befriended the director Professor Upton and was often given access to the building. . . #Ontheroad in Providence, Rhode Island this afternoon looking for #lovecraft, art, and #craftbeer on an afternoon #roadtrip from Boston. . . First stop, East #ProvidenceRI for a peak at Pomham Rocks Lighthouse just offshore from the East Bay Bikepath along the Providence River. . . This 40 foot just 200 yards offshore began operation in 1871. The World War Monument, #ProvidenceRI, rises high above Jackson-Gardner Park and was dedicated in Armistice Day 1929.
